VICE MAG

S'pose you've all heard of VICE mag... you can get it all over the world. For the few who haven't - VICE mag is by far the best, free magazine i've ever read, and my friends think the same also. It can be hard to get your hot little hands on them, as they get snapped up fairly quickly and not everyone stocks them becasue the VICE stockists are about the hardest people to contact on earth. Fortunately, 10 years after we first contacted them VICE have agreed to send us 50 mags monthly (or whenever they come out). Cool shit or what?

Andrew Otton Photography

I have to hold back a little here because the bloke i'm about to talk about is by far the best man you will ever come across and his photography ain't bad either... in fact its fucking unREAL!!! AAAAARRRRRRRR!!!!.. damn a little bit of wee came out... told you I had to hold back, but its hard when your introducing a man of Otton's stature. If you haven't heard of this bloke and his photography your cruising through life in the wrong gear because his photo's really are the goods. Sharp, crisp, creative subject matter are the norm for Andrew, he really does have the talent and an 'eye' for framing a fantastic shot. If you don't believe me come in-store to view his work or you can check him out online on his very own...and, might I add... very professional website.

Welcome to Reap n Sow

Tucked away above an op shop on the busy Gold Coast Hwy in Burleigh is a little treasure trove filled with vivid imaginations, artistic inspirations and quirky creations. Welcome to the wonderful world of Reap N Sow.

This innovative new gallery/retail/ art space is filled with an eclectic and tempting array of contemporary home wares, odd vintage pieces, 'zines, art books, music, knick knacks, jewellery, clothing, accessories and all forms of art including sculpture, printmaking, pottery, painting and photography.

Reap N Sow is the brainchild and lovechild of two Gold Coast artists, Chryslyn Bruhn and Magnus Kennedy, conceived in response to the lack of opportunity for local and emerging artists to exhibit and sell their wares. For them it’s a means to make a living doing what they love and a way to bring creative people together, form a network and nurture an artistic community on the Gold Coast.

You won’t find over-priced artwork or mass-produced merchandise at Reap N Sow. It’s a little nook filled with wondrous one-offs and original pieces, custom-made and lovingly created, with each item, gift and treasure carefully selected for its individual merits. There are no rules to what can be sold at Reap N Sow – it is ever changing and constantly morphing to accommodate anything and everything that takes your fancy. The only thing that you can be sure of, is that it will be unique and prefers to sell Australia Made treasures. The gallery proudly supports, sells, promotes and provides a space for Australian-made products from emerging and established artists and craftspeople.

Attracting local clients, collectors and tourists, REAP N SOW welcomes patrons to potter, ponder and explore the space at leisure. Whether you want to find the perfect present, treat yourself, get inspired or connect with a welcoming and friendly creative community this unique boutique is the place to come. Even if you don’t know what you’re looking for, you’ll find it at REAP N SOW.
